*Firefighter I & Firefighter II - 2017
Chapter 1 - Online Activity Submission Dropbox
Student Activity:
For this activity you will create a handout to show how historical fires have influenced current fire fighting practices. Follow the steps below to complete this activity.
Step One: Using the list of “Significant Historical Events” found on pp. 12-15 of your manual, research at least two of these events.
Use both the manual and other resources (both print and online) in your jurisdiction to help discover more information about these historical events.
Step Two: Using the information discovered in your research, create an informational handout that clearly shows how these events influence current fire fighting practices.
The handout should:
- Be visually interesting (not just a bunch of text)
- Contain more information than just what is in the manual (use information from at least two other reputable sources)
- Clearly explain the connection between the events and current practices
Step Three: Upload your handout by [deadline here] to the R1 classroom dropbox.
