PA Suppression Instructor Development

This 44-hour Pennsylvania State Fire Academy Resident Course is designed to develop and evaluate the instructional skills of a Suppression Level Instructor Candidate. The program is designed to focus the Candidates’ teaching toward successful presentation of the Pennsylvania Entry Level Fire Fighter Training Program and Structural Burn Session programs, in conformance with established policies and procedures of the PA State Fire Academy. The program, coupled with mentoring by more experienced Suppression Level Instructors, will serve as a Train-the-Trainer for the ELIS, ELFG, ELEF, ELIF and SBS programs.
