Hello everyone, and welcome to the Portland Fire Department Fire Instructor 1 course. This course will help you understand the role and responsibilities of a fire instructor. We will be using the IFSTA Fire Instructor Manual 9th edition. The self-paced class will begin on September 1 and end at the end of September. The final exam will be held on three different days: September 30, October 2, and October 4. The location for the final exam and state skills assessment will be communicated to everyone at a later date.
