    • This interactive self-paced learning course prepares firefighters and other fire department presenters to teach Sound Off with the Home Fire Safety Patrol*, a program for 2nd and 3rd graders. Learners will access free Sound Off videos, activity sheets, lesson plans, and materials for grown-ups at home as part of the course.

      *Sound Off with the Home Fire Safety Patrol is 3 activities to teach children and their families the sounds smoke alarms make, how to respond to these sounds, how to create a home escape map and have a home fire drill as well as learning to prevent the six leading causes of home fires. Sound Off targets high home fire risk student and their families.
