The course is designed to provide the Fire Officer I knowledge that will help them as they advance into the middle management level of their departments. Candidates will receive information that will help them perform both supervisory and first‐line managerial functions.
This is a four‐day course that will give participants an opportunity to complete the State Fire Marshal Division’s Fire Officer II JPR packet during the course and IFSAC certification testing will be provided on the last day of the course.
The course is based on the NFPA 1021 Standard for Fire Officer Professional Qualifications, 2020 Edition and utilizes the IFSTA Fire and Emergency Services Company Officer 6th Edition which participants will be provided at no cost.
