Welcome to the Instructor 1 hybrid course. You will be working through the course material on your own time and at your own pace. I encourage you to look through the material and make a plan to get the reading, quizzes, tests and project completed prior to our in-person class date of ___January 11th, 2026___. All reading, quizzes and tests must be completed prior to the beginning of class.
Our in-class time will be spent reviewing the course material and you the students presenting your projects, aka teaching.
Instructor 1 is a foundation piece to teaching in the fire service. Many of you are already leaders and teachers. Now lets' get you the certification to back that skill. For others this may be a new topic or skill. If so, welcome to teaching, it's an ongoing learning process.
I am available via the link on this site to answer any questions. If you ask a question I may share it anonymously with the group. If you have a question, likely someone else has the same question.
