A Fire and Emergency Services Instructor I is someone who,

  • has demonstrated the knowledge and ability to deliver instruction effectively from a prepared lesson plan, including instructional aids and evaluation instruments;
  • adapts lesson plans to the unique requirements of the students and AHJ;
  • organizes the learning environment so that learning and safety are maximized;
  • and meets the record-keeping requirements of the AHJ.

As a Fire and Emergency Services Instructor, you will train personnel on the skills they need to perform safely and effectively while completing job related tasks.  You will be partly responsible for their classroom success and fully responsible for their safety during training.
